What Beta Tester are Saying

Comet PoE (GL-RM1PE) homelab setup with Slate Plus (GL-A1300) and Flint 3 (GL-BE9300) by beta tester

The upgraded 32GB eMMC lets me store ISO installers without hassle, and best of all, the latency is so low it feels like I'm physically connected to it. It's now a permanent addition to my laptop bag when servicing servers in cramped network closets where there's no room for a monitor or keyboard.

@OzTech74L
Comet PoE (GL-RM1PE) with Fingerbot (FGB-01) together for remote device access and management

I was looking for a solution to remotely manage my backup router which doesn't have IPMI.
Paired with a Fingerbot, this product is incredibly efficient and allows me to turn it on/off and control it using web interface. The POE power supply is a real plus, allowing me to take advantage of the UPS without using a dedicated electrical outlet.

Comet PoE (GL-RM1PE) used in homelab setup for remote device access and management

It's been very easy to use. Even my partner who struggled with tech worked it out in a few seconds. The design is very nice and I'll certainly be buying a couple when they go on sale. Nice work!

Reviews

A good remote control device

"Really nice device, i like how you can control the device, the delay is really small. One thing that could be improved is the resolution and FPS rate so that you can reduce the bandwidth consumption. I like that it has WOL capability and Tailscale. It works from your browser and does the job. A mouse is recommended when using a tablet or a phone."

Florin (5/5)

One of the best KVM products

"Really happy with this product. The KVM itself is excellent, the software runs smoothly, the build quality feels solid, and it arrived well-packaged with all the cables included. Honestly, I couldn’t ask for more."

Marek (5/5)

One of the best KVM-over-IP devices on the market!

"I cannot stress how must more productive I am using this device. My home office already has a PC, monitors, KB&M, mic, and speakers. in an ideal setup, so adding my work laptop to the mix is a problem. This device not only solves the dilemma by being an acceptable KVM, but it allows me to work on my familiar setup. One of the best features is the Speaker and Mic passthrough, as you can bypass the terrible laptop devices. The POE feature is a massive plus, as you use one less cable. All of this at competitive price, and the device is smaller than any "normal" KVM. There really is no better option."

Nicolas K. (5/5)

Remote KVM

"The setup was simple, The device just works."

Alonzo S. (5/5)

A Great KVM

"This Comet PoE is a great KVM, the only issue that i encountred is that i had binding issues with linking the KVM to the Glinet KVM app. I have now a great time with Glinet KVM app and i can acess anytime anywhere my server that is connected to this KVM."

Arp (5/5)

Much more useful than I expected

"I won the comet PoE on a reddit giveaway (that I even forgot I signed for). For initial testing and impressions, I first paired it with my gaming PC. For a few days I have been using it to turn the computer on before arriving from work (so those games have time to update and I can jump right in with the boys) and even a few times to farm on some of those games remotely (gotta be competitive and get ahead of everybody else). While the latency (especially through the glinet relay) isn't the best for gaming remotely, it's fine for the type of games I play (I would definitely not recommend it for FPS games, at least not when away from local network, but RPG is fine). And I love the fact that I don't have to deal with port forwarding because of the relay feature through the glinet servers. Anyway, the initial testing, which was supposed to not last more than a day, lasted a few weeks because I just loved the usefulness it added. Now the comet is sitting on it's real destination, which is a mini pc I'm using as a server. This allows me to remotely connect to it, debug and fix it when I'm away from home. It also helps locally since I don't need to connect a monitor to the mini pc anymore, I just access the KVM from my computer. And I still use it to power my gaming PC remotely, even tho it is connected to the server, as it can power on multiple devices via Wake-on-Lan."

Robert N. (5/5)

perfekt for remote working

"I'm really glad to have this small and smart device now I can travel around the world and working remotely as I would be home"
