@Vulcan
mmavis29

@tomp5138
mniko_tech

Reviews

awsome device

"great little device i have been using it for work and days out and i have had to use it on a couple of occasions where my home broadband provider has gone down i hooked the mudi 7 up to my home mesh system and it gave me excellent speeds throughout the house meaning no down time for me or the family for our internet needs. i really like the touch screen it adds a great amount of control without the app and also adds the ability to personalize the device."

Excellent 5G router for building digitalisation

"The GL. iNet Mudi 7 is a constant and highly valuable companion in my daily work in building digitalisation. Whether commissioning smart building systems, setting up network infrastructure on site, or connecting IoT devices, it delivers fast, stable and secure connectivity. With 5G, tri-band Wi-Fi 7, dual SIM/eSIM failover and a 2.5GbE port, it is far more than a travel router. The touchscreen, long battery life and compact design make it ideal for professional use on site. Highly recommended for anyone who needs dependable internet access away from the office."

— Georg (5/5)

So Nice traveler 5G/wifi 7 device

"What a device! Replaced my netgear m2100 modem and I do not regret it. Easy to travel with and very good performance for a small price. I love it! So much possibilities like 5G modem/wifi gateway using eventually vpn to connect to my home Network. Very reactive support team also!"

— Krl (5/5)

Best mifi router ever

"I replaced my Netgear Nighthawk M1 with the Mudi7. It does everything the Nighthawk does and much more. I haven't had any problems with it. It works with 2 physical nano sims and an eSim manager. Very handy when travelling. I think Gl. INet made the best mifi router ever. Thank you for this."

— Marian (5/5)

— Liborio L. (5/5)

Technically it’s pretty good

"From a functional point of view it’s pretty good, probably even the best available. However the touch screen can be a bit laggy when first powering on. Also wish there was an option to buy a spare battery or two, because on 5g its uptime practically drops to 4-6hours. Also please start selling the mounting bracket and think about a smaller case that is pocket sized and doesn’t cause the unit to overheat. Can you add functionality to control battery charge: such as drop 5g below a certain power to conserve battery."

— Robert A. (4/5)

Great Wi-Fi 7 & 5G Router with Excellent Support

"I was looking for a mobile router with Wi-Fi 7, 6 GHz support, 5G connectivity, and eSIM support, and the Mudi 7 was essentially the only product on the market that checked all the boxes for me. Unfortunately, my first unit turned out to be defective, but GL. iNet’s customer service was very helpful throughout the entire RMA process and arranged a replacement for me. The replacement is now working well, and I’m very happy with it. Overall, I’m very satisfied with both the product and the support I received from the GL. iNet team!"

— Antonino (5/5)

I love it, despite its quirks

"This router solves so many problems for me. It's fast, has excellent battery life, and has some awesome features. The main features I benefit from is Tailscale and Adguard. Tailscale works perfectly. I'm able to connect to any computer on my home network. Adguard works very well, so long as you don't use a massive blocklist. If you use the two together and you want to retain tailscale DNS resolution (MagicDNS), just add a rule in Adguard to resolve ts. net to 100.100.100.100. Easy. I've had a few issues. First, there is no way to set TTL to 65 if tethering a phone via USB. Doesn't seem to work if tethered via hotspot either. Secondly, there are certain areas of town where I loose connectivity (small dead zone for about 30 seconds going down the back side of the a mountain) and it takes unusually long for the hotpsot to reconnect to cellular. It's the last device in the car to regain connectivity. Lastly, it seems like if it is on for 20-24 hours, a reboot is required as some sites (facebook in particular) become inaccessible. I don't know for sure, but its possible adguard is causing this. Overall its an amazing device. The battery life is great. I highly recommend getting a rubberized case/skin from amazon or aliexpress. The plastic the hotspot is made of gets scratched and scuffed very easily. You might as well get a screen protector for it as well. The provided storage case is excellent, and unexpected. Thank you GL. inet! I look forward to future firmware upgrades/feature releases."

Mudi 7 — My recommendation!

"I just received my Mudi 7. There were some delivery issues in Germany, but thanks to the amazing GL. iNET support, they were resolved successfully. I just started using my Mudi 7. Setup is easy, and my initial experience shows very good performance. I’m very happy with this product and recommend it."

— Patrick D. (5/5)

Awesome device for mobile live video production

"I'm always in awe about the versatility of the GL*iNet devices. What blows me away: You can have the device create a private Wifi network while acting as a repeater for another one. I take an NDI-in-a-box system to various event venues. It can connect my production system to hardwire, wireless and even 5G networks while providing all the network infrastructure the NDI-in-a-box needs."
