Mudi 7 (GL-E5800): Official Clarifications on Availability and Cross-Region Use

To our valued customers and community members,

Thank you for the honest feedback and the detailed questions following the Mudi 7 (GL-E5800) pre-order launch. We understand that Mudi 7’s specifications and its regional availability have been a point of concern, and would like to provide an official response to clarify and address any potential misunderstandings.

1. Module Selection

The Quectel RG650V Series LGA Module was selected for Mudi 7 to enable advanced functionalities, including enhanced I/O capabilities. This supports our goal to deliver a versatile, high-performance device that supports a broader range of applications and connectivity requirements, such as flexible antenna configurations for better RF performance and a diverse set of interfaces that enable dual-role support for USB-C, 2.5G Ethernet, and other connectivity capabilities.

2. Global Usability and Band Support

We understand the importance of a seamless global connectivity experience. Both the EU and NA variants of Mudi 7 support several universal bands, such as the n78 band. While the NA version can be used in Europe, please note that certain regional bands may not be available outside the intended market. We do not recommend cross-region usage as it has not been fully tested, and performance outside the designated regional market cannot be guaranteed. For detailed 5G NR frequency band information, please check here.

3. Regional Sales Policy

Due to regulatory restrictions, purchasing different Mudi 7 variants on the same site, as well as purchasing variants from outside their designated sales regions, is currently not supported. To prevent further confusion, we are already revising all official documents including but not limited to the product page, web storefront and product guides.
