Substitute Models/Recommended Alternatives
The Beryl 7 (GL-MT3600BE) is a compact dual-band Wi-Fi 7 travel router that delivers the fastest VPN speeds (up to 1,100 Mbps via WireGuard®) in GL.iNet’s travel router lineup. It is a significant upgrade to the original Beryl in terms of Wi-Fi and VPN performance, yet maintaining the core portability-focused philosophy of the Beryl series.
The Beryl AX (GL-MT3000) is a more budget-friendly alternative. Running on Wi-Fi 6, it can also satisfy heavier workloads during travel where the original Beryl may struggle with.
